    What causes the cellular damage which leads to the deposition of proteins in the neurons? Also, how does this disease affects the enzyme/substrate required for dopamine production?

    1. Oh! The decrease in the enzyme activity (due to the decrease in substrates) required for dopamine is the cause of the disease.

  2. Supp Lester! Cellular damage is caused by the amine-related aldehydes, e.g. 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetaldehyde (DOPAL), and other aldehyde- and oxidative toxic molecules that failed to be metabolised by the aldehyde dehydrogenase
